Horn-u-Copia's Display of Makers

Though primarily woodwind manufacturers, this company which was established in 1852 as successors to Rudall & Rose, in 1856 became a important military music establishment. They were succeeded by Rudal Carte & Co, in 1872.Rudall Carte was bought by Boosey and Hawkes in about 1944. Starting in 1955 the serial numbers follow the B&H system (about 70000) . It would be difficult to establish a serial number list for the company as they maintained separate lists for each type of instrument.
