Reported as A.E. or A.J.or A.H. Rott Prague Bohemen or Sohn Yn.

The Rott family of Prag consisted of:

Augustin Heinrich 1839-1868 who was succeeded by his son, Franz Karl in 1869-1917. They used AH Rott Sohn

His Brother Vinzenz Josef 1841-1854 who initially worked with his brother but they quarreled and split up.

The Czech name "August Jindrich Rott" was changed to the appropriate language of the country the instrument was made for. In German, it was "August Heinrich Rott", in English "August Henry Rott", in French "Auguste Henri Rott", in Italian "Augusto Enrico Rott" and in Spanish "Augusto Enrique Rott".

After August Jindrich’s death in 1868, his son took over the firm and added "son" after his father’s name. Again in the appropriate language: "syn" in Czech, "Sohn" in German, "son" in English, "fils" in French, "hijo" in Spanish. There is no data for the Italian.
