Geo. C. Diver was a Chicago Retailer that went out of business before WWII. His inventory was then sold to Lyons.

  • 1874 George Diver is born in Corfu, NY 1900 Diver is a railroad clerk in Chicago
  • 1910 Diver is a railroad clerk; home at #3445 Irving Ave.
  • 1918 George Calvin Diver, works at traffic & storage for the US government at #3615 Iron St; home still on Irving
  • 1920 Diver is a metal factory proprietor; home still on Irving
  • 1930 Diver is a music store owner; home at #303 S. 5th Ave.
  • 1937 home at #303 S. LaGrange Rd.
  • 1946 Diver dies August 28th in Berwyn, Illinois; he was retired

Brass instruments are "Gold Star" models and probably stencils by another maker although it’s possible he made his own in the "factory" mentioned in the 1920 census.
