	Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could tell me the year of my Besson trumpet. The only serial number I could find is 609-724195. Thanks!

	Nobody is responding because Bessons are terrible to try to date by serial numbers. Besson was a French Company, then it was a English and French Company, then it was part of Boosey and Hawkes, then Couesnon bought the French Company and then they were made by a company in India, . . . . it goes on and on. The longer it goes, the more unreliable the serials are in dating the instruments.

	In that case, the Boosey and Hawkes serial list MIGHT be correct.
