	Does anyone have any information on Johnson Hoffman trumpets? I recently purchased a J H "studio model" serial #47362. Says "San Diego" on the bell. I have not been able to turn up any information on the horn or company. Any help would be appreciated.

	That serial could be an older [1950s] Amati-Kraslice or Blessing...maybe Lockie/Nova/Hayes [they were located near Olds at one point and made horns that looked rather similar, then they became part of Leisure Time, who owned Benge for a time] - do you have any photos? steve-o wrote on Sep 16^th, 2019 at 3:43pm: Does anyone have any information on Johnson Hoffman trumpets? 	I have some photos, and if I can figure out how this #$%&$#% yaBB thing works, I'll send them. The horn is odd in that all 3 valve tuning slides are on the right side of the valve block, no way to move the 3rd valve slide while playing. The bore measures .445 and the valves are bottom sprung. I'll work on getting the pictures sent.

	Basically two options on pictures. 1) you can locate them somewhere, and then link them using the IMG coding, or 2) you can send them to kenton@horn-u-copia.net, and I'll make a composite and add it to the database.

	Robert R Johnson was a musician in San Diego in the 1930s then partnered with Orville Hoffman to form Johnson-Hoffman Musical Merchandise which was at #1133 7th Ave in the 1940s and 1950s. They would never have made the trumpet and I would agree that it looks like a stencil of a Pedler American Triumph model which if true would date this to around 1950. This was a student model trumpet.

	Thanks, Yankee and CDFhorn. You hit that nail right on the head. Judging by the cheap-looking or non-existing hardware, this is definitely a student horn. I pulled up "images" for the Harry Pedler American and the details on these pictures match my horn exactly. I appreciate your time and input. Thanks again, Steve
