Whaley, Royce & Co. Ltd. Toronto instrument dealers and manufacturers starting in 1888 and, music dealers and publishers.

The firm was founded by Eri Whaley (1853-1920) and George Royce (1865-1942). Whaley had been a bandleader. Royce left the company in 1902. After Whaleys death, the firm was bought by W.A. Hunter, H.R. Maddock, and W.H. Myhill. The company was located at several addressses Yonge St until it moved to Scarborough

The company advertised as being Canadas Greatest Music House. They carried a stock of band instruments, piano, organs, sheet music, and musical merchandise, and they manufactured brass and percussion instruments; and published music.

They started producing brass instruments in 1888 and woodwinds in 1895. However, after 1920, they produced only brass and percussion. Their tradenames included: Imperial, Ideal and Sterling. In 1975, they ceased manufacturing instruments.

The first Whaley, Royce publications date from 1890, and came to a halt about 1940, after which date only reprints of earlier issues were undertaken until 1969.

They also have a patent dated 1896.
