1843 Rene Margueritat starts a music publishing and retail store in Paris at 39-43 boulevard du Temple 1856 the store moves to 21 boulevard Bonne Nouvelle 1868 Rene dies and his wife Alexandrine takes over 1877 Alexandrine dies and son Eugene (b.1849) takes over 1906 the store moves to 7b Petite Euvries and named Margueritat Pere, Fils et Gendre with the addition of his son Daniel and son-in-law Joseph Gaillard-Tallon 1928 Joseph's son Henry (b.1903) takes over management and the name changes to Margueritat, Gaillard-Tallon & Cie 1933 Henry dies and his brothers sell their interest in the company 1965 the company moves to 175 rue Saint Honore, Paris under Gaillard Lucie-Tallon 2009 the company closes [from history compiled by Denis Watel]
