Latzsch (b. 1918) after being trained by Schopper. In 1955, Latzsch employed Franz Kuhn who was the predecessor of instrument maker Leopold Mitsching of Wuppertal-Elberfeld. Together with trombonist Serafin Alschausky Mitsching, they developed a new trombone model named after Alschausky, which later became known as the Model Kuhn. In 1979 Hans-Hermann Nienaber became a partner and took over the companys management. In 1985, Herbert Latzsch retired. In 1995, they developed Full Flow valves. In 2000, they developed their of own line of trombone mouthpieces. They now only make custom instruments.
