Daniel Hess

New York

USA

1860-1883

Daniel Hess was a dealer in New York.

There were several Hesss in the music industry. There were two brothers real early (-16th Century).

It is tempting to think that this dealership might be a part of a family business. But, the maker, Wilhelm, that was active in the 1860s in Munchen was a woodwind maker. And, Ernest Hess who was a little later in Klingenthal was apparently also a dealer. Also, Johannes Hess, a nephew, was an importer in Sidney Australia.
