Horn-u-Copia's Display of Makers

There are several companies bearing the Glassl name: Josef Glassl of Graslitz Egidius Glassl of Komotau.

Josef Glassl brass instrument maker and later dealer established 1898 - ca. 1937 with his son ( or brother ) Egid(ius) in Graslitz Silberbacher Strasse 705 Böhmen. Egid(ius) Glassl brass Instrument maker and dealer established 1899 - ca.1945 in Komotau Weingasse 13 Böhmen.

They were brothers. Egid lost everything in Komatau after WWII. Heribert Glassl from Nauheim. He was the first European maker using fiberglas to make Sousaphones and Tubas. He also made Brass instruments.
