• 1916 granted patent #1,196,097 for a Bb/A valve (design drawing below)
• 1918 living at #3125 Olive St., musician at the Liberty Theater, #1118 Main St., Kansas City
• 1920 theater musician, wife Effie (1878-1972)
• 1927 Walter is the music director at the Northeast High School
• 1930 living at #3121 Olive St., public school music teacher
• 1937 Walter dies October 21st
