Camille Kerkhofs (Ghent 20 September 1880 Tournai 18 January 1952) and Jules Kerkhofs (Lederberg 31 March 1877 Tournai 27 December 1948) were Brass instruments makers.
Until 1919, the two brothers were workers at Leon Maheu’s instrument factory in Tournai. Camille started as an apprentice in 1893 and Jules in 1896. When in 1919 Maheu moved to Virton, the brothers collected what was left of the remaining workshop and continued the operation at quai Luchet d’ Antoing 21, Tournai.
They specialized as jobbers, manufacturing parts for Pelisson, Blanchon and Guinot in Lyon (later Gaillard and Loiselet) and sometimes van Engelen and De Prins. They only occasionally used additional workers. Camille continued until his death in 1952, Jules had previously quit prior to 1940 due to health problems.
