Christian A. Stark (1838-1909) took over the workshop from J. Hertig in Bern Germany. His son Adolf Hermann Stark (1887-1970) took over from his Father.

Both Christian Starks emigrated from Germany but I did not find
out if they are related. They attended two different
Presbyterian churches and never worked together.
Christian G. Stark is listed as ‘Jr.’ on his death certificate.
All instruments found so far have rotary valves and would date to
the 1860s and 1870s. The bottom photo is a bass horn
labeled ‘Christian R. Stark New York’ and dates to c.
1860. The cornet and trumpet are also labeled ‘Christian
R. Stark New York’.
