Metropolitan Music Company started as Czechoslovak Musical Instruments Company at 1342 Second Avenue in New York City. They relocated to 1358 First Ave. and expanded their offering from just violins to band instruments, and changed the company name to Metropolitan Music Company. They were located at 222 and 224 Fourth Ave. until 1974 when they moved to Westwood, New Jersey, and limited their product line to string instruments. In 1977, they moved to Stowe, VT.
Brass instruments under the Royal name. At least some of the Royal instruments were Czech made.
