Horn-u-Copia's Display of Makers

The Maheu family flourished between 1874-1929. Supplied the army and colonies.

They had two branches:

The Charles Maheu House was founded in 1874 in Gand (rue Neuve-St-Jacques 26) and supplied armies and conservatories. After 1096, his son Charles Adolphe Maheu took the factory ownership and changed the name to Maheu & Son.

The Léon Maheu House was founded in 1890 in Tournai. and Supplied the army, conservatories and missions of the Congo. At the beginning of 20th century, they moved to Virton and changed the name to Mahue Léon & Fils, cjanged again to Mahue Léon Fils.
