Heribert Glassl opend his shop in app. 1948. He was the first European Instrument maker to make fiberglas Sousaphones and Tubas. They also made very decent Trombones. His son had taken over the shop but died suddenly in 2002 so Heribert had to take control over the firm again. He finally quit in 2005 at 75 years of age. The machines and one of the employees went to the Netherlands to Adams Music in Thorn where they now make their own Flugelhorns and Euphoniums.
