| Description | F.E. Olds Los Angeles Large Bore Trombone with the "Golden Bear" Large Bore
Engraved: F.E. Olds, without the additional "& Sons", placing it prior to 1931. The bell features the "Golden Bear" engraving, debuting in 1924. Three serial number stamps, one at the male slide shank (M5029), one on the lug of the micro-tuner "C" shaped brace (5029), and the other on the foot of the micro tuner. the horn as well bears an "LM" stamp at the female receiver of the bell section. I believe this indicates the bore size.

Comment from reader: Just thought I`d throw this out there. I, too, have an Olds Golden Bear Model bone. And the serial number is the same as yours! I found 5029 on the tuning slide, and couldn`t find it else where on the horn. I know its an olds tuning slide, `cause the braces match. The actual slide however, is a diff. number.
