I am new here and know NOTHING about horns. However, I have inherited a nearly brand new one and I am hoping there are some horn experts that can help me identify it.
it is a french horn that says OLDS on the case. There is a serial number on it that says 659413. Any idea when it was made? Also I want to sell it, any thought on value? It appears to be nearly new!

That serial would date it to sometime around mid-1968.

There's a 1967 Olds catalog here that might help you identify the model you have:
http://www.itsabear.com/Olds_Docs/Olds_Docs.html.

With few exceptions, Olds French horns don't generally command very high prices; the only model from that era that I would consider "collectible" would be the O-49 5-valve Bb single. The 3- and 4- valve singles would be considered student horns, and the doubles would generally be classed as intermediates. They're certainly not bad horns, but neither are they considered professional level. As usual, the completed items listing on eBay is probably your best guide on pricing.

Wow thank you for that. So with my 0 knowledge of french horns (or any horn) I am still having trouble identifying it. Is there a way to upload a picture so I can show you what it looks like?

I have received the pictures, but have chosen not to put them on there,  I'll simply describe the instrument as a new looking unmarked - except for the serial number - mellophone.
