Here is a pig in a poke Ebay cheap cornet.  It is Czech and made probably for some music retailer and named "Barlufe" with an accent over the "e" that my keyboard won't duplicate.  No mistaking the Czech stamp on the valve case.  No mistaking the same style braces as on one made for Jenkins and one made for Royal has very much like furniture as well... like the  bottom valve caps.  Also another distiguishing feature is that everything seems slightly down sized. The tubing and the valves are all smaller scale that American horns.  The mouthpiece stem is even narrower to fit a narrower leadpipe receiver.

But.... other than some stuck slides.... it's in pretty good shape and has most of the silver plate left.  And.... it plays ok and produces a decent sound...although nothing to rave about.

I'm wondering whether the smaller scale has more to do with its age rather than country of origin?
